Event Details

Scavenger Hunt                     

Event Time:   9:30AM – 3:00PM               
Registration:  Registration and Event Waiver Required, Available Online at the Snowsports Desk         
Prizes:          Swiss Valley Logo T-shirt compliments of the Retail Shop. 

Guidelines: 
Track down one of the real pineapples hidden throughout Swiss Valley and turn into the Snow Sports Desk for your prize!  One pineapple is located in the Lower Lodge, two pineapples are located in and around the Main Lodge, and three pineapples can be found on Fox Trot, Sandy’s Dandy and Mountain Do (one on each run). There are six pineapples total to be found.  *Limit one pineapple/prize per person.

Hot Chocolate Bar (Cafe’ 225 & Chalet)                     

Event Time:   11am-5pm
Details: Complimentary Hot Chocolate!  Load it up with all your favorites: Marshmallows, Whip Cream, Chocolate Chips, Candy Pieces, Peppermint Pieces

S’Mores on the MainStrasse                     

Event Time:   11am-4pm
Details: Complimentary S’More Kits available on the MainStrasse or in the Cafe’ 225.  Enjoy with your family and friends at the Fire Pits in the MainStrasse.

Up Close & Personal with a Snow Gun                   

Event Time:   11am-4pm               
Details: Get a behind-the-scenes look at the technology that makes winter possible at Swiss Valley! A SMI Super PoleCat and a Grizzly Water Stick snow gun will be on display.

Our Snowmaking Manager, Daniel Lewis, will be there to walk you through the science of snowmaking, explain how these machines work, and answer your questions. Whether you’re a snow nerd or just curious how we make the slopes skiable, this is a fun and informative opportunity you won’t want to miss!

Costume Contest  *               

Event Time:   9:30AM – 12:30PM               
Registration:  Guest Services Window 9:30am-12:30pm  – Register with your name & costume description

Judging: 1:00pm -Gather for contest judging on the east side of the Ski Patrol Building
Prizes: $25 goodie bag and Swiss Valley T-Shirt

Snow Making Hose Rolling Contest                      

Event Time:   1:30pm              
Registration:   Registration & Special Event Waiver Required, Available Online at the Snowsports Desk           
Check in:     1:15pm East Side of Rental Building (Hill Side) 
Prizes:         SWAG sponsored by SMI/Snow Machines Incorporated

Think you’ve got speed, skill and precision? Put it to the test during our Snow Making Hose Rolling Contest. Contestants will roll a 50ft snowmaking hose as fast and as tight as possible.  This competition is open to everyone – no age division, registration and waiver required. 

How It works:
Participants will run down to the hose from the start line and begin rolling.  When finished you will run back to cross over the start line to finish.  Final score will be based on speed, tightness of roll and overall professional appearance.  Tips for competitors: A tight clean roll might beat a sloppy fast one so balance with precision and effort.

Pond Skim                      

We are planning on this event provided snow levels are adequate.

Registration:  9:30AM-2:00PM at the at the Snowsports Desk in the Main Lodge

Prizes:          2026/2027 Swiss Valley Gold Season Pass

Guidelines:
Contestants will battle it out as the pond skim distance gets shorter each round. Through a natural process of elimination, the last rider able to make it without sinking into the pond will take home a 2026/27 Swiss Valley Gold Season Pass.
