SV offers several special learning programs that will take you from ”Green to Black“.

Intermediate- Advanced progressive lessons for the “Terrain Park” and “Pushing the Edge”.  Sunday morning extensive courses are available. In addition we have added a week night series for the 2011/2012 Season. This is a 4 week series for Ski Club Members & Season Pass Holders.

Swiss Valleys Snowsports will be offering intermediate – advanced coaching for the “Terrain Park” and “Pushing the Edge”.  Programs will be progressive 4 week courses taught by elite instructors providing progressive teaching and video analysis.   Sunday courses will be 2 hours each  with video analysis afterwards.  Open to ages 12 and up, both genders welcome, and offered in both skiing and snowboarding.

The “Terrain Park” program will concentrate on teaching and coaching skills both outside and inside the Terrain Park. Whether you are new to the Terrain Park or want to improve on your skills, this program will provide the entry levels skills needed. There will be 4 experience levels taught.  Skiers and snowboarders will be initially analyzed on the first Sunday with goals taught at those 4 levels.  Afterwards and before the 2^nd Sunday session our group of coaches will formulate a progressive training plan designed to individually advance skiers and snowboarders into higher skill levels.

This progressive program will consist of evaluating each individual’s abilities and goals, provide teaching and coaching skills for each individual, and progressive plans that will advance participants into the next level(s) of learning.  The program will be fun and exciting and entry fee into Swiss Valleys Winter Jam will be waived where you can show off your newly learned skills.

• Storm Drain
• Rails
• Quarter Pipe and Spine
• Table Top Jump

The “Pushing the Edge” program will cover “Carving all Mountain” and “Bumps”.  This program will be fun and exciting that will “push the edge” of skiers and snowboarders.  This technical based program will be coached by some of the best ski and snowboard carvers around.  They will teach you the skills of placing your equipment “on the edge”.  If bumps are present, you will be taught basic bump skills that will allow you the comfort needed to ski all terrain.  Each participant will be analyzed on the first Sunday.  Afterwards and before the 2^nd Sunday session our group of coaches will formulate a progressive training plan designed to individually advance skiers and snowboarders into higher skill levels so that at the end of the 4 week program, you will have the skills to “push the edge”

“Terrain Park” program and the “Pushing the Edge” program will be open to the first 16 individuals who sign up for each discipline (ski or snowboard). No more than 8 students per instructor.  Cost for 8+ hours of high level coaching will only be $120.00 paid in advance.  If you would like a copy of your personal Video, cost will be an additional $15.00 for each copy.

Participants should have their own equipment and already have basic sliding skills.  Helmets are recommended and under age 18 will require parent signature.
