The racing has been more competitive than we have seen in years. It has been lots of fun, it seems as though a speed suit IS necessary and wax may start to play a more important role than ever with the tight margins we are having each night. Let’s race!

2008 – 2009 Season Wrap-up:

As with every year the competition grows, participation improves and friends are made, however the 2008-2009 Season was one of our best ARL seasons yet. Despite a few weather related postponements and even making up a Wednesday night on a Sunday POWDER day, we had an amazing season. Most nights the top 5-6 spots were separated by just a few tenths of a second and the top 10 or so were separated by less then a second. The competition was tough, the courses varied in technical difficulty and the league grew in numbers.

The 2008-2009 Season saw these improvements:

• NEW TIMING SOFTWARE

• New Course Tools & Equipment

• Additional Course Helpers

• Great Prizes for the End of the Season banquet

• Repaired and Replaced Many Broken Gates

• Great Ski Shop Deals for Racers

The 2009-2010 Season Brings:

• Additional Course Supplies & Equipment (improves set-up and tear-down)

• More Personnel

• Improved PA System

• Software Integration to Timing Display

• Live Timing – Real Time Place Display

• Repaired and Replaced Many Broken Gates (maybe we should re-think allowing Bill S. to Race?)

• Great Ski Shop Deals for Racers

• AND MORE!!!!

We like to encourage participation in this excellent program, even if you are not a seasoned racer. Racing is the best way to improve your technique and challenge yourself on a weekly basis. Come on out and enjoy the fun that ARL has to offer.
